Alice Wismath speaking on October 5th

We’re holding our first meeting of the year, and we’re fortunate to have one of our very own students speaking. Alice Wismath, an undergrad here at Queen’s who recently made headlines with her implementation of Quantum Chess, is going to speak to us about what she did, and the challenges she faced when writing her game. It’s going to be a very interesting talk, and we’ll stick around afterwards to spend time discussing her approach, and how you can use this knowledge to start working on (or improving!) your games.

We’ll be meeting on Tuesday, October 5th at 8pm in Goodwin 248. Please send a quick message to scott@cs.queensu.ca if you’re thinking about coming so we can gauge how many people are going to be here. If you’ve got the time, you should come check it out! We like games, and we hope you do too.

I’m also going to try to tape it, if Alice is OK with that, so even if you miss it, we’ll have it up somewhere.

Thanks, and see you on Tuesday!
